SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

ANSWERING SERVICE 12-STEP CALLS

Our method of taking 12-step phone calls have changed. We have a new phone number; 1-877-270-5303 which is a computerized answering service. We need people who are willing to get these phone calls from people who may think they have a problem with alcohol. Please contact our e-mail; nagaraintergroup@gmail.com if you are willing to serve in this capacity. You can be a primary contact or an alternate. How this works; you can pick the hours you would like, the days of week you would like. 



TREATMENT FACILITY COMMITTEE

Members of the TFC take meetings into First Step Center, Clearview, Horizon Village, Freedom Village, and others. A minimum of nine (9) months of continuous sobriety is required to run the meeting. There is no time requirement to join TFC. You must however, have a sponsor, homegroup and working the 12 steps. If you do not have transportation, we will team you up with someone who has a car. The TFC Committee conducts their regular business meetings every month at 1:00 PM at the Hooker Auditorium in Niagara Falls, Memorial Medical Center, 621-10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY: Just before the Intergroup meeting.



PUBLIC INFORMATION COMMITTEE

Like all of A.A., the primary purpose of the members of this community; to carry the message to the alcohol who still suffers. Working together, the members of the PIC convey A.A. information to the general public including the media. If you are interested, this could be a learning experience. Come to the NiagaraIntergroup meeting the third Sunday of the month.



WOMENS/MENS JAIL COMMITTEE

Niagara Intergroup Womens/Mens Jail committee takes AA meeting into the Niagara County Jail. For more information on times and days, please come to the intergroup meetings to find out more information. Also, on a yearly basis the jail officials conduct  an orientation so you can be approved to take the meetings into the jail.

NIAGARA INTERGROUP GROUP REPRESENATIVES

Each group should have a group representative (GSR) that speaks for and represents his/her homegroup. The group "reps" attend the regular meeting of intergroup which meets on the third Sunday of the month at 2:00 PM in the Hooker Auditorium, located on the first floor at the Niagara Memorial Medical Center, 621-10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY; except for the months of July, August and December. Contact your home group chairperson if you are interested.

GENERAL SERVICE RERESENTATIVE

Each group should have a General Service Representative that attends the regular area 50 General Service Assembly meetings that meet every month in Hamburg, NY at 12:00 PM. We are in need of an Intergroup Representative to go to the General Service Assembly in Hamburg to address issues and concerns.
